Preston’s favourite aspects of his internship are the opportunity to work closely with senior management and understanding the complicated, but intriguing process of bringing a new technology to market.

Sales and Marketing Analyst

Miravo Healthcare

Meshwa analyzes sales and prescription data to create sales and marketing reports which provide actionable business insights for Miravo Healthcare’s executive team. She is also designing a marketing brand plan for two over-the-counter products in Miravo’s portfolio to increase brand awareness.

Meshwa’s favorite part of her internship is working on specific brands, where she can recognize how her team’s efforts directly impact the company’s business and consumers’ health. She also values working with a cross-functional team and learning from her colleagues.

Project Management Intern

Osayande supports the Project Management team by contributing to a plethora of activities. This ranges from; managing company projects, communicating with vendors, creating presentations, and determining next steps for various internal and external initiatives.

The MBDC internship opportunity is by far Osayande’s favourite part of the program. This allows an intern to be integrated deeply into a company’s operations, allowing the individual to determine how their skills and interests best suit various roles and departments.

Annamaria supports a wide range of projects to demonstrate the clinical and economic value of pharmaceutical or medical device products. Annamaria conducts literature searches, assists with writing value communications, and contributes to the development of various health economic models.

Annamaria’s favourite aspect of her internship is the ability to work on many diverse projects simultaneously with clients around the world.

Clinical Trials Project Manager

Mohamed is working with the clinical side of the company to write neuro-athletics protocols for their clients. The neuroplasticity clinic has many patients who are athletes and the goal is to provide them with protocols they can take home that can help them in their sports and overall health, such as optimizing sleep or motor learning. The clinic also has many rehab patients which can also benefit from some of these protocols.

Mohamed enjoys working in a start-up company and observing how it grows and deals with issues that are not present in larger companies.

Technology Transfer Associate

Keya is currently supporting the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Tech Transfer Database and Dashboard. Together with the Portfolio Manager, Keya tracks Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to aid in developing and analyzing business insights for a range of stakeholders.

Keya’s favourite aspect of her internship is working with a global team to support product realization. Furthermore, Keya enjoys engaging with other departments under the Pharma Technical umbrella and discovering opportunities to get involved and build her skills.

Nitai is gathering, mining and interpreting research from diverse primary and secondary sources. Additionally, Nitai analyzes and synthesizes large data sets to generate insights and support the development of presentations and reports for clients.

Monica supports the Research and Development team by assisting in ongoing projects for external clients. She also supports R&D’s regulatory efforts by ensuring projects are in compliance with international regulatory policies and laws such as the EC No. 1223/2009.

Monica’s favourite part of the internship is being able to learn skills in SAP, a business tool that’s useful for resource planning and business development.

Terran supports the submission of regulatory documents to the health authorities in USA, Canada, EU, and RoW (Rest of World). This includes editing, formatting, and liaising between stakeholders on regulatory documents such as BLAs (biological license applications) and INDs (investigational new drug applications). Terran is also involved in FutureWorks (early talent pipeline), where he supports projects for a variety of departments within the company.

Terran’s favourite part of his internship so far has been the openness his colleagues show to providing help with work, mentorship, and career guidance.

Hiba works on and supports global regulatory dispatches and activities for several marketed and established products. She also works alongside the FutureWorks team to support projects from different functions within the Pharma Technical department.

Jim is supporting the pharmacy pricing team with projects, ad-hoc analysis and store-level support. Day-to-day tasks include financial modeling, business dashboard building and customer support.

Jim’s favourite part of the internship is getting to know his team and the many nuances of the retail pharmacy industry.

Sigaan is responsible for all outbound marketing the company conducts to generate sales leads with ABA clinics across the US and Canada. This is most commonly done through emailing behavior analysts and enticing them to participate in Linggo’s courses. Additional responsibilities include checking over the courses and modules, and researching future conferences Linggo can attend.

Sigaan’s favourite aspect of his internship is learning about the ABA and ASD support industry. Learning how Linggo’s software was developed to support individuals with ASD is very interesting and therefore drives Sigaan to get the product into the right hands.
