“The BDC Program was a hyper-focused way to prepare for the transition from science student to industry professional. What set the program apart for me was the network it provided, and the opportunities that followed for things like extracurricular involvement and job opportunities. The Master’s-level internship was critical as it provided the opportunity for me to learn a lot about what Medical Affairs at a pharma company does. Without the internship, I don’t think I would have been prepared to take on the Medical Science Liaison role I transitioned to after graduating. Many of my classmates seem to have found their way similarly – and this was during a time when there were few MBDC alumni to learn from. Now that the program and its alumni base have grown, I’m excited to see what the next few years’ graduates are able to do.”
