Dr. Yingfu Li, New Associate Director of the BDC Program

A message from Dr. Andrew McArthur, Director of the Biomedical Discovery and Commercialization program:

I’m very pleased to announce that Dr. Yingfu Li has agreed to serve as Associate Director of the Biomedical Discovery and Commercialization program. Yingfu is a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences, as well as Associate Member in the McMaster School of Biomedical Engineering and the Department Of Chemistry & Chemical Biology. He runs a world-class research program examining functional nucleic acids, including their industrial and biomedical application.

Yingfu has been a strong contributor to the BDC program, particularly with our thesis students and MBDC mentorship, so I am thrilled he has joined the BDC leadership. Please join me in welcoming Yingfu to the BDC team where we look forward to his insights, energy and leadership in a time of both growth and challenge for the BDC and MBDC programs.
